Nice to meet you, I'm Martin
For twenty years I have worked hands-on with technology. What started as curiosity about how things work grew into a profession that still energises me every day: keeping the machines and installations that form the heart of a business running.
I did not build those twenty years from behind a desk. I have worked in the sorting centres of GLS, DPD and DHL, at Hilton Meats, and at airports such as Schiphol, Eindhoven and The Hague. From ASRS stacker cranes and shuttle systems to sorting lines and baggage handling: I know these systems inside and out, especially at the moments when they are not working.
I also know the facilities side well: I have extensive experience in facility management and the technical management of sites, from maintenance planning to managing suppliers. That is why I look beyond the machine alone and see the full picture of your site.
What defines me? Staying calm during a breakdown. Asking questions until the real cause is on the table, instead of treating symptoms. And the conviction that quality and safety are never negotiable: I am VCA certified (Dutch safety certification) and everything I deliver complies with the applicable standards and regulations.
In recent years a new chapter has been added: artificial intelligence. As an AI specialist I help companies apply smart technology in practice, from automated processes to AI-assisted analysis. That combination of twenty years on the shop floor and up-to-date AI knowledge is exactly what makes Sharp-Tech special: I know not only what is technically possible, but also what really works in practice.
How I work is easy to sum up: honest advice, clear agreements and being on the floor myself. If a project grows bigger than two hands can handle, I scale up with experienced professionals from my network. That way you always get the quality I personally vouch for.
Besides Sharp-Tech, I am the founder of Inkture, the Dutch supplier of professional wall printers. What began as a technical adventure has grown into a complete ecosystem of machines, training and software that lets entrepreneurs start their own wall printing business. Entrepreneurship in engineering runs deep.
